Clause 3

The Bible is the word of God, and contains what is necessary for salvation.It was written by people who were impelled to do so by the Holy Spirit.aIt is explicitly stated of the books of the 01d Covenant.2 Tim.3,16;

b We can testify the same of the four Gospels, as they describe the fulfilment of very many predictions in the 01d Covenant and also contain predictions which have already been fulfilled. We can therefore say of Him of whose life and words we read in the Gospels, that he possessed the Holy Spirit immeasurably.John 3:34;

c The Lord Jesus said, that He would send the Holy Spirit to His disciples to guide them into all the truth. What these servants have written we must therefore also accept as Godly truth.
